Castell – Platja d’Aro i S’Agaró, is located in the geographic area of the Costa Brava in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, and belongs to the region of Baix Empordà, province of Girona, Catalonia. comprised of the towns of Castell d’Aro inland, and Platja d’Aro i S’Agaró on the coast, it spreads across the eastern end of the Aro Valley, a narrow plain drained by the Ridaura river between the southern mountains of the Gavarres and Serra de Cadiretes ranges.
The municipality has an extension of 21,9 Km2, and borders to the north with Calonge, the west with Santa Cristina d’Aro, to the south with Sant Feliu de Guíxols and the coast on the east. The current census gives a figure of more than 10,000 inhabitants as permanent residents. The Town Hall offices, as well as the Headquarters of the Local Police Force and the Tourist Office are in the centre of Platja d’Aro.

Richard, the owner, told me they opened 4 years ago (2008). Took them 9 months to adapt and restore the old building to their needs. The result is excellent as you can see in the photos I made.
Great service in the hotel, also helping with ideas and recommending interesting places around. Everything is very clean and you can see thay make good efforts on keeping the place beautiful. Flowers, trees, gardens, water… a very special spot, a hidden gem in the Costa Brava.
